Team Philippines working toward the “Big Goal”
The big goal of the Homeless World Cup is to provide a catalyst for sustainable change, uniting and inspiring people worldwide in the pursuit of homes and opportunity for all.
In partnership with Urban Opportunities for Change Foundation, Kids International Ministries is helping Team Philippines work toward that big goal. KIM is providing jobs, accommodations and food supplements for all the eight members of the 2010 Team.
Like Pinoy Big Brother, Team Philippines will be living, working and playing together for the next three months. One difference is, we will not vote anyone off.
Michael Quinlat asked Coach Ronald last night, “Coach can I still be on the team with tattoos?”
Coach Ronald laughed and reassured him that the dream was still alive. The big goal, still a reality.
The twins, Hammid and Abdula are spending their first weeks paycheck , of 1500 pesos, to provide school supplies for their nieces and nephews. Change and opportunity is already rippling into the communities.
